Welcome to my website. Whether you have come to shop for a book, inquire about my professional services, or just to look around, I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to email me with any questions or just to say,"hello."
Since 2001, I have served as the historian for the Alamo Scouts Association (now the Alamo Scouts Historical Foundation), an organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Alamo Scouts, a top secret WWII army unit. Thanks for stopping by!
A native of Canton, Illinois, I graduated from Monmouth College (IL) in 1983 with a B.A. in History/Education. I also hold a Master's Degree in History from Western Illinois University, and am a graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence School. I was the Director of Public Information & the Sports Information Director at Monmouth College (1983-85), and have worked as a news reporter, photojournalist, and as a radio commentator for collegiate and high school football. I proudly served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence analyst at home and abroad (1988-92) and was a member of two U.S. All-Army Track & Field Teams. I have been a high school special education teacher since 1997, and since 2001, a co-owner of ChingPhoto.com--a full-service photography studio.
My first book (Silent Warriors), was published in 1995, and since that time I have authored, co-authored or contributed to nine additional books on topics ranging from military history to self-help to fiction. Beginning in 1999, I began working as a freelance editor for publishers, and as a researcher and historical consultant for studios producing television documentaries and motion pictures. In 2012, I began publishing under the imprint of War Room Press, and I am accepting a limited number of manuscripts at this time. I also do freelance editing, proofreading, and speechwriting.
